From The Campaign Trail

I am as puzzled as most Australians. In the past few months John Howard's Government has discovered climate change and education. They have suddenly admitted their work choices laws are unfair, and made changes. And this week they entered the information age, announcing (second-class) broadband. Over the next few weeks I will unpack the policy differences in these vital areas. I have two beginning thoughts. First, where has John Howard been for the past decade? Second, knowing that the Howard Government is poll-driven and has no real commitment to any of these issues, will they really do anything if re-elected?
