Bribery and Economic Delinquency

Howard, Costello and company falsely claim to be superior economic managers. Tuesday's budget proves they can't be trusted to spend your money properly. Far from being well planned, the Government's economic management follows a very familiar pattern. First, ignore all proof of the need for many kinds of infrastructure. Second, take no notice of any science on climate change. Third, run down the public sector. Fourth, put their record-breaking taxes into an election slush fund. Fifth, just before the election, spend, spend and spend! Sixth, claim this is all good for Australia. This budget is economic management for a Coalition re-election - nothing to do with the best interests of Australia or Australians.

The Budget and Definitions

Bribery is defined by Encarta as "the offering of money or other incentives to persuade somebody to do something". I think this could be applied to voting.

Inducement is defined by Encarta as "something that gives somebody a reason to do something, especially something that is offered as an incentive". Again, I think this could be applied to voting.
